About Us

East Rand SCUBA was founded back in 2005 by Bryan Coetzee who had a passion for diving and wanted to provide the industry with a more family based approach to diving.  Being a family person and enjoying the social aspects of the sport, he indentified that SCUBA diving must include the whole family for it to be a successful sport.

Diving is only one aspect of the sport.  Most divers go away for weekends and after the mornings dives are bored and have nothing to do.  East Rand SCUBA focuses on more that one activity within a diving weekend.  We cater for the children, the non-diving spouses and partners as well as the older family members.  Jumping castles, SCUBA Rangers, snorkel safaris and 4x4 adventures are to name just a few.

Our club socials bring divers together throughout the year.  These range from sporting weekends including paintball, 4x4 drives, hunting and plain old fashioned braais.  Every rugby game is a good excuse to get together with like minded friends.

Our team on professional Dive Leaders will show you how to enjoy the world under the water.  More than 70% of the earth is covered by water...doesn't it just make sense to spend more than 70% of our time there too?
